Postcarding

Postcarding

Sending postcards to voters in swing districts has become a popular way to support campaigns from afar. It's fun, easy, and you can do it right at home.

Postcards are a popular and fun way to support campaigns from afar. They’re easy and satisfying to do at home. Campaigns tell us who to send postcards to and provide information on what to say. Usually you are encouraged to personalize the message, which might be as little as using different colored pens or highlighter. TWW/Indivisible - Los Gatos members have written postcards for House, Senate, state legislature candidates, and on issue campaigns.

Our postcardleader, Karen de Louraille, is connected with campaigns that we support and she will provide everything that you need to get started. Have questions or need blank postcards? Contact her at 408-355-3467 (text is preferred).

For writers who are near Summit Rd, Dimity Mueller offers in-person postcard writing. Check with her for dates and times - usually Friday evenings. at 408-353-2934. Located at 21781 Virdelle, Upper Redwood Estates across from the playground (10 mins off of Summit and 17).

Deb Garvey is the Postcard Coordinator for ISJ and also works with the Sister District Postcarding efforts. ISJ will have in-person writing parties in Saratoga and Willow Glen soon. Please reply to the postcard interest survey.

If you find yourself yearning for interesting and immediate writing opportunities (with very short deadlines), try Postcards to Voters, (Tony the Democrat) which you can write on your own. Registration is required and they will request a sample of a written card before sending you addresses.
