With Elizabeth Chur

Canvassing has already started in some districts in the Central Valley. We all know of Shannon’s enthusiasm for door knocking, now let us hear from canvasser extraordinaire Elisabeth Chur, author of The Joy of Talking Politics with Strangers.

In conversation with Shannon, Elisabeth will tells stories from her conversations with voters and share tips for earning trust and building rapport, approaches that also work with family, friends, and acquaintances.

Exceptionally the meeting will be held at NUMU, New Museum Los Gatos, and will follow a visit of the new exhibition Snapshots of Pride: Photographer Ted Sahl's Chronicle of the South Bay LGBTQ+ Community, led by independent curator Amy Long, former history curator at NUMU.  NUMU will open for us at 6 PM for a visit starting at 6:15 PM.
